HomeMy WebLinkAbout3624., i 4 5 Ordinance No. 3624 b ~ AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE 3599, AN URGENCY ORDINANCE PROHIBITING USE OF SPECIFIED COUNTY HIGHWAYS BY COMMERCIAL $ VEHICLES EXCEEDING A GROSS WEIGHT OF 1.4,000 FOUNDS AND ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ~ (Hamilton Nord Cana Highway; Wilson Landing Road; and Meridian Road) 10 11 12 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as follows: 13 Section 1. Ordinance 3599 Repealed_ Urgency Ordinance 3599, enacted 14 April 14, 2000, is hereby repealed. Said ordinance prohibited 1S commercial vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of 14,000 pounds 16 from using the following County Highways: 1~ Hamilton Nord Cana Highway, from State Highway 99, southerly to 18 State Highway 32. 19 Wilson Landing Road, westerly from State Highway 99 to its 20 westerly end. 21 Meridian Road, from Wilson Landing Road, southerly to State 22 Highway 32. 23 Said ordinance also declared and established a speed limit of thirty- 24 five (35) miles per hour on Wilson Landing Road, westerly from State ~~ Highway 99 to its westerly end. 1 1 2 Section 2. Recitals and Intent. 3 A. 0n June 27, 2000, the Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance ~' 3511, AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING USE OF SPECIFIED COUNTY HIGHWAYS BY 5 COMMERCIAL VEHICLES EXCEEDING A GROSS WEIGHT OF 14,000 POUNDS. 6 B. Section 1 of said Ordinance 3611, reimposes the weight limits ~ originally imposed by Section 1 of Ordinance 3599 and supersedes and 8 replaces such provisions in Ordinance 3599. 9 C. The Board of Supervisors deleted from said Ordinance 3613 a 1D proposed section which would have continued in effect the speed limit 11 initially imposed on Wilson Landing Raad by Section 3 of Ordinance 12 3599. Tt is the intent of the Board of Supervisors that said speed 13 limit be repealed. 14 15 16 Section 3. Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall take 17 effect thirty (30) days after the date of its passage.
