AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
4 ADDING SECTION 7-7.I TO THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE
RELATING TO GLASS BEVERAGE CONTAINERS
~ ON OR IN THE WATERS OF BUTTE CREEK
b The Board of Supervisors ofthe County of Butte, State of California, ordains that
7 Section 7-7.1 is added to the Butte County Code to read as follows:
8 "Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to possess, deposit, or cause to be deposited any glass
9 beverage container an, or in, the waters of any portion of Butte Creek or the adjacent banks of such
10 waters within the limits of the county.".
11 Section 2. Authority. This ordinance is enacted pursuant to the authority of the powers specified by
12 the Constitution and laws of the State of California and Article III, Section 1 of the Code ofthe
13 County of Butte.
Section 3. Severabilit . If any provision of this chapter or the application thereof to any person or
14
circumstances is for any reason held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
15
provision shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining
16
provisions ar other applications of the chapter, which can be given effect with the invalid provision
17
ar application thereof.

Section 4. Effective Date and Publication. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the
19
date of its passage. The clerk of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to publish this
20
ordinance before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage. This Ordinance shall be
21
published once, with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it,
22
in the Chico Enterprise Record, a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of Butte,
23
State of California.

25
California, on the 18th day of December , 2001, by the following vote:
