4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-31, ENTITLED "SALARY PLAN", OF ARTICLE
5 VT, ENTITLED "PERSONNEL AND MERIT SYSTEM", OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE BUTTE
6 COUNTY CODE

8 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as
9 follows:
10 Section 1. Section 2-31. of the Butte County Cade is amended to read
11 as follows:
12 "Salary 2-31. Salary plan.
13 All classes of positions in the classification plan shall be
14 assigned a salary range or rate as provided for by a salary ordinance.
15 Employees appointed to positions in the classification plan shall be
16 paid a salary within the range or rate so provided for in the salary
17 ordinance and according to the procedures established pursuant to'
1$ section 2-28. The salary ordinance may be amer~.ded as necessary from
19 time to time by resolution or ordinance."
20 Section 2. ,,•Severability.
21 If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to
22 any person or circumstances is for•any reason held to be invalid by
23 a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed
24 severable, and the ira,validity thereof shall not affect the remaining
25 provisions or other applications of the Ordinance which can be given
26 effect without the invalid provision or application thereof.
27 Section 3. Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall take
28 effect thirty (30) days after the date of its passage. The Clerk of

the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to publish this
ordinance before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its
passage. This Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of
the members of the Berard of Supervisors voting for and against it, in
the Ctzico Fnter rise Record a newspaper of general
circulation published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, on the 12th day of February ,
20Q2, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi and Chair Josiassen
NOES : Noxxe
