An Ordinance Amending Chapter 2 Administration
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as follows:
Section 1. Findings. The Board of Supervisors makes the following findings:
a. Government Code Section 549$5 authorizes a county to increase certain
statutory and other fees as necessary to recover the costs of providing any
product or service.
b. A fee study has been conducted to determine the cost of the Butte County
Clerk-Recorder's Office providing specified services and products and said
study has been made available to the public pursuant to Government Code
Section 54986.
c. A public hearing has been duly noticed and held on August 3, 2004 at
10:40 a.~n. pursuant to the requirement of Government Code
Section 54986 to considex said study and to receive oral or written
presentations pertaining thereto.
d. This ordinance is enacted pursuant to Article 1, Section 1 of the Butte County
Charter, Article Xl, Section 7 of the California Constitution, and Government
Code Sections 54985 and 54986.
Section 2. Bette County Code Section 2-11.3 is amended to read as follows:
2-11.3 County Clerk-Recorder fees.
The fees specif ed below are hereby determined necessary to recover the costs of
providing the respective products or services for which they relate and are hereby
established and adopted as the applicable fee therefor:

Section 3 2-11.5 is added to read as follows:

All maps submitted for recording shall be accompanied by a completed
Ma Information Submittal Sheet.
Section 4. Severability. If any part of this ordinance shall be held void by a court
of competent jurisdiction, such part shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity
thereof shall not affect the remaining parts of this ordinance.
Section 5. Effective Date of Ordinance and Publication thereof. This Ordinance
shall be and it is hereby declared to be in fixll force and effect from and after thirty
(30) days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of ffteen (15) days
after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with the names of the
members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the Chico
Enterprise Record, a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
California.
