AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BUTTE COUNTY CODE SECTION 2-166 DELEGATING
INVESTMENT AUTHORITY TO THE BUTTE COUN'T'Y TREASURER/TAX COLLECTOR
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as~
follows:
Section 1. Section 2-1.65 of Article XX of Chapter 2 of the Butte
County Code is amended to read as follows:
2-166 Inve$tment authority.
The County Treasurer is hereby delegated the authority for
fiscal year 2005--2006 to invest or reinvest the funds of
the County and the funds of other depositors in the County
Treasury, pursuant to Chapter 4, (commencing with
Government Code Section 53500) of Part 1 of Division 2 of
Title 5 of the Government Code. The County Treasurer shall
assume full responsibility for those transactions until
this delegation of authority is revoked by ordinance or
expires at the end of the 2005W2006 fiscal year.
Section 2. Severabilit .
If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to
any person or circumstances is for any reason held to be invalid by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed
severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining
~provisians or other applications of the Ordinance which can be given

effect without the invalid provision or application thereof.
Section 3. Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall take
effect thirty (30} days after the date of its passage. The Clerk of
the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to publish this
ordinance before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its
passage. This Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of
the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it, in
the Enterpra.se--Record a newspaper of general
circulation published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, on the 26th day of April ,
2005, by the following vote:
AYES: Supex•v'isors Connelly, Dolan, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Yamaguchi
NOES : None
ABSENT : None
NOT VOTING: None I
