4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE X, SECTION 2-7'1
,5 OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE

7 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as
8 follows:
9 Section 1. Article x, Section 2-71 of the Butte County Code is
10 amended to read as follows:
11 "2--71 Compensation and travel expenses.
12 Each planning commissioner shall receive reasonable travel
13 expenses for each meeting attended as prescribed by
i~l resolution of the board of supervisors, and in addition
15 thereto shall receive stipend in the amount of seventy
1fi dollars ($70.00) for each regular or special meeting
17 attended. Planning commissioners shall also receive
18 reasonable travel expenses and stipend for meetings
19 attended while serving on committees or commissions whose
20 makeup is designated, either by ordinance or resolution, as
21 including planning commissioners. In addition to the
22 above, Planning Commissioners may be reimbursed for
23 reasonable travel expenses incurred while attending

1 Commission-related training and/or conferences within
2 budgetary constraints."

Section 2. Severability. zf any provision of this Ordinance or
4
5 the application thereof to any person or circumstances is for any
~ reason held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction,
7 such provision shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity
8 thereof shall not affect the remaining provisions or other
9 applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect without the
10 invalid provision or application thereof.

Section 3. Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall
12
take effect thirty 30) days after the date of its passage. The
13
Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to
14
15 publish this ordinance before the expiration of fifteen {15) days
16 after its passage. This Ordinance shall be published once, with
17 the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and
18 against it, in the Chico Enterprise-Record, a newspaper of general
19 circulation published in the County of Butte, State of California.
20 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
21
of Butte, State of California, on the 14th day of December 2005 by
22
the fallowing vote:
