HomeMy WebLinkAbout39331 2 3 4 5 b 7 s STATE OF CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 3933 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LINIITS ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA {VEHICLE CODE SECTION 22355) The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does ordain as 9 I I follows: to 11 12 13 14 is 16 17 is 19 za 21 z2 23 24 25 26 z~ 2a ~n Section 1: Said Board fords and determines that upon the basis of an engineering anc traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of Califarnia, in that the existing unposted speed limit offifty-five (55) miles per hover established under Section 22349 (b) of the Vehicle Code o: the State of California is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and declares prima facie speed limits on such Butte County highway as follows: That a prima facie speed limit ofthirty-f ve {35) miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIlVIIT 35 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County highway to wit: 1. S1XTH STREET (COUNTY ROAD #14355-A), FROM PRYDE AVENUE {MP 0.0) TO DAKOTA AVENUE {MP 1.03), IN BIGGS. Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms of this ordil are hereby declared independent and severable and the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section or term thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the ', same inoperative or invalid. Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is hereby direct to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limit established herein within Page 1 1 z 3 4 s 6 s 9 10 I1 12 33 14 IS 16 17 18 39 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ~n thirty (30) days after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, at the regular meeting thereof an the 28~' day of March 2006 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Dolan, Houx, Yamaguchi and.
