HomeMy WebLinkAbout3939I 2 3 4 5 6 s 10 11 12 E3 14 is 15 17 is E9 20 2k 22 23 24 25 26 2~ 2s ~~ STATE OF CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 3939 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA (VEHICLE CODE SECTION 22358} The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does ordain as follows: Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described wines within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that the existing unposted speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour established under Section 22349 (b} of the Vehicle Code of the State of California is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and declares prima facie speed limits on such Butte County highway as follows: That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35} miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County highways to wit: 1. LONE PINE AVENUE (COUNTY ROAD #50175-E}, FROM CROUCH AVENUE (MP 0.0) TO CHICO RIVER ROAD (MP 2.05} That a prima facie speed limit of forty-five (45) miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 45 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County highways to wit: 1. KELLY RIDGE ROAD (COUNTY ROAD #26551), FROM OLIVE HIGHWAY (MP 0.0) TO HILLCREST AVENUE (MP I.30) Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable and the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision., section or term thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inoperative or invalid. Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limit established herein within thirty {30) days after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen {I S) days after its passage, it shall be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a Iocal newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
