HomeMy WebLinkAbout3970~l 1 z 3 4 5 s s 9 to 11 12 f3 14 15 E6 17 la 19 20' 21 z2 z3 z4 zs 26 27 28 ,~ STATE OF CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 3 g ~ a AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA (VEHICLE CODE SECTION 22358) The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does ordain as follows: Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter described come within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that the existing posted speed limit of forty (40} miles per hour previously established under Section 22358 of the Vehicle Cade of the State of California is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways for current conditions and determines and declares prima facie speed limits on such Butte County highways as follows: That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and'that SPEED LIMIT 25 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County highway to wit: 1. Circle Drive (#24555-A & #24555-B) from Oroville-Bangor Highway to End 2. Naranjo Ave. (#24552) from Mt. Ida Road to Oroville-Bangor Highway 3. Oroville-Bangor Highway (#25493 & #215b2) from Mt. Ida Road to Miners Ranch Road Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms of this ordinar are hereby declared independent and severable and the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, Page 1 1 z 3 4 s 6 7 8 9 is 12 33 14 15 16 17 is 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ~n provision, section or term thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inoperative or invalid. Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limits established herein within thirty (30) days after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
