9 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as follows:
] 0 Section 1. Intent. This ordinance is intended to designate the Director of Development Services or
I ] his/her designees to appraise vehicles pursuant to Vehicle Code Section 22$55(f}.
12 Section 2. Section 14-5$ of the Butte County Cade is amended to read as follows:
13 "I4-58 Administration and enforcement.
14 Except as otherwise provided herein, the provisions of this Article shall be administered and enforced
15 by the Director of Development Services or his/her designee. In the enforcement of this Article, such
16 officer, or leis/her authorized representative{s), may enter upon private or public property to exarr~ine a
17 vehicle, or pans thereof, or obtain information as to the identity of a vehicle, or a raise a vehicle and
I $ to remove or cause the removal of a vehicle, or parts thereof, declared to be a nuisance pursuant to this
19 Article."
20 Section 3. Severability. If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to any person or
2I circumstances is for any reason held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision
22 shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining provisions or other
23 applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application
24 ihe~•eof.
?S Section 4. Effective Date and Pub{ication. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date
26 of its passage. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to publish this ordinance
27 before the expiration of fifteer- (1 S) days after its passage. This Ordinance shall be published once, with
28 the names of the members of the Board of Su ervisars votin for and a ainst it, i31 tlyc Entezprise
