Purpose The purpose of this ordinance is to revise the Agricultural Commissioner's fee schedule to conform to AB 1717 (Chapter 238, Statutes of 2007) by establishing structural pest control operator registration fees for branches 1, 2, and 3. The fees in this section are based on the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics Employment Cast index (ECI} for State and Lacai Government far the 3'~ c;~uarter of 2447. The ECI used far the calculation is 107.6. Section 3. Structural Pest Control Operator Registration Fee Due Dates. In 2448, the registration fee shall be due and payable by April 34, 244$. In all subsequent years, the registration fee shall be due and payable by January 31. ~ Section 4. Severability. If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is for any reason held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be (deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining provisions or other applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision ar application thereof. Section 5. Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (34} days after the date of its passage. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to publish this ordinance before the expiration of fifteen (15} days after its passage. This Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against it, in the newspaper of general circulation published in the County of Butte, State of California.
