HomeMy WebLinkAbout3993-11 3 a s 6 7 s 9 10 11 12 13 la 15 i~ 17 l8 19 z~ 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 ?g ~n STATE OF CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 3993 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA (VEHICLE CODE SECTION 22357) The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does ordain as follows: Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described comes within the provisions of Section 22357 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that the existing pasted speed limits previously established under these sections are no longer valid based on the current engineering and traffic surveys and declares prima facie speed limits on such Butte County highways as follows: That a prima facie speed limit of forty-five (45) miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 45 signs be placed at appropriate lacations on the hereinafter-described County highways to wit: 1. Miners Ranch Road (21561) - 1.2 Mi. N/O Oro Bangor fligllway to Oro Bangor Highw That a prima facie speed limit ofthirty-five {35) miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County highways to wit: 1. Twelfth Street {26451) - Oroville Dam Boulevard (MP 0.0) to Nelson Avenue (MP l.$) 2. Santa Clara Avenue (53205-C) -End {MP 0.0) to Chico City Limits (MP 0.$} Page 1 1 3 4 s s 9 la 11 Iz 13 14 15 16 1~ 18 19 20 21 2z 23 24 25 26 27 28 ~n Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terns of` this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable and the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section or teen thereof shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inoperative or invalid. Section 4; The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limit established herein within thirty (30) days after its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen {15) days after its passage, it shall be published with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
