ORDINANCE NO. 4008
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON
CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
{VEHICLE CODE SECTION 22358)
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does ordain as
follows:
Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described comes within the
provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that a prima facie
speed limit of forty-five {45} miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and
that SPEED LIMIT 45 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter~described
County highway to wit:
45 MPH on Keefer Road {#64141) from Hicks Lane (MP 2.2) to Cohasset Road (1VIP 4.4)
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms of this ordinance
are hereby declared independent and severable and the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part,
provision, section or term thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the
same inoperative or invalid_
Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is hereby directed
to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limits established herein within
thirty {30} days after its passage, and before the expiration of f fteen (15) days after its passage, it
shall be published with the names of the members voting far and against the same, once in a
local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.

California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 27th day of Ocotber 2009, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Kirk, Lambert, Yamaguchi, and Chair Connelly
