An Ordinance of the County of Butte
Amending Section 20-b$ of Chapter 20
Of the Butte County Code
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as follows:
Section 1. Purpose. This ordinance amends Section 20-68 of Chapter 20, Subdivisi
regarding extensions of time for the filing of maps.
Section 2. Butte County Code Chapter 20 Section 6$ is amended to read as follows;
20-68 E~ctension of time.
If an application for extension of time is made prior to expiration of the approved o
conditionally approved map, the advisory agency, based on good cause, may extend its approva
for an additional period or periods beyond expiration of the initial period set forth herein i~
section 20-67(a), provided the total extension of time does not exceed the total time set fort]
pursuant to Government Code 66452.6 (e},
{1) An application for extension of time shall be reviewed by the advisory agency, whicl:
will determine whether the map presently conforms to the requirements of a tentative
subdivision map.
(2) The advisory agency may approve an extension of time, approve with conditions,
which cause the map to conform to present requirements, or disapprove,
(3) The decision of the advisory agency to disapprove an extension of time may

appealed to the board of supervisors within fifteen (15} days of the advisory agency'
action.
(4) In the event that an approved tentative map is revised and subsequently approved
the advisory agency, the most recently approved tentative map shall constitute the o
recognized tentative map For further action in consideration of filing of the map.
Section 3. Severability, If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to
person or circumstances is for any reason held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdicti
such provision shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect
rennaining provisions or other applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect with
the invalid provision or application thereof
Section 4. Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
after the date of its passage. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed tc
publish this ordinance before the expiration of f fteen (15) days after its passage. This Ordinance
sha1I be published once, with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting fog
and against it, in the Chico Enterprise Record , a newspaper of general circulatior.
