Parpose. This pro~osed ordizaance repeals Section 2-19.6 af Cha~ter 2, Administra~ion; combines and xestates Boarci. of Supervzsors Membez carnpensa#iox~, inclu~i.ing sa~aries and benefits, anto a single Ozdinance; an~d conf'orms bez~sfits foz Boarci of Supez-visors Members to the reaex~tly adnpted resolution regarding sala~zes and benefits a~ elected depa.rEment h,eads. ~ection 2. Repeai ]3utte Cou~ty Code Section 2-19.b. T~e repeal s~all ~e effectxve the same date thzs ordinance becomes effective. Sectio~ 3. Salary. The annual salaxy for the overtime exempt position v~Board of ~upervisors Memb~r of'the $utte County Board o£Supervisors is set at $53,014 as a~optec~ on August J,4, 2007 in the Butte Cown.ty Salary Ordinance No. 3968. Secfian 4• Ann~ai Salary Adjustme~t. On JuIy 1 of ~:ach yeaz the salary of each Baarc~ of Supervisors Menr~i~er shail be increased by that arnount which is pradUCed by znultiplying the then current saIaiy of each Baard of Supervisors Membe~r by the percentage incrcase of #he salary for judges, as ~pecified izz Govert~znent Code Section 68203, providsd, however, that the aru~ual ine;rease i~z the saiary of each Board of Supervisors Member shall in no case ~xceed five perc~nf. Section 5. Mi~eage. Each Boazd of Supervisoxs MeFnber shall be provided a mon~hiy rnileage allowance o£six-hur~clxed and twenty do~lars {$624.a0) per month for aI~ vv~thin-County !, travel. AddztionaIly, each Board of Supervisor Mernber shall be reirrab~arsed a~ the cuzrent ~S ~ allowable rate .for aI~ wor~C-related ~ravel in his or ~er pziva~e vehicle autside of the Cauri~y. Seetio~ 6. Ofi~er Exper~s~s. Each Board of Supervisors Mernber shall be reirr~bursed for act~al and necessary expenses ancunred in the eouxsa of official eounty business, i~xcluding zn~als and iodging ar~d all other necessary expenses, other thaxk znileag~ expenses included above, ~ ~ vv~ch shall be ~curred by ~em, subject t~ norrrxal bud~etary and appropriatio~ controls and the Z Butte Cou~ty Travel Policy, Section I2.~0 of tl~e B~tte Coun#~r Qersonnel RuIes, adoptec~ on Jv1~+ 3 25, 200G and as rnay be am~;nded from ~ime to t~~xze. 4 Sec~ian 7. E#'fective Date and Publication. This Ordinance sh~l take e~'ect on Octaber S, 2b 2010, which is saxty (60) days after the date of its passage.
