An Ordinance Amending Ordinance 4025
Regarding Board of Supervisors Member Compensation
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as follows:
Section 1. Purpose. This proposed ordinance amends Section 8 of Ordinance 4025, which
combined and restated Board of Supervisors Member compensation, including salaries and
benefits, into a single Ordinance.
Section 2. Other Benefits. Section 8 of Ordinance 4025 shall be amended to read:
All other benefits for each Board of Supervisors Member shall be consistent with
the benefits in the mast current Resolution Regarding Benefits of Butte County
Board of Supervisors Members as long as the benefit is not exempted by other
applicable plans or documents.
Section 3. Severability. If any provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to any
person or circumstances is for any reason held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such provision shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the
remaining provisions or other applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect without
the invalid provision or application thereof.
Section 4. Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall take effect on April 14,
2012, which is 60 days after the date of its passage. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is
authorized and directed to publish a summary of this ordinance before the expiration of fifteen
(1 S) days after its passage. This ordinance shall be published once, with the names of the
tubers of the Board of Supervz ors voting for and against it, in the
~/'t• ~ CMG' , a newspaper of general circulation published in the
County of Butte, State of California.
