AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-3 OF CHAPTER 51,ENTITLED
4 "BUTTE COUNTY CONTRACTS/PROCUREMENT SUNSET PILOT PROJECT
5 ORDINANCE" OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, ordains as follows:

Section 1. Section 51-3, entitled"Application of Chapter," of Article 1, entitled"General
8
Provisions," of Chapter 51, entitled "Butte County Contracts/Procurement Sunset Pilot Project
9
Ordinance," of the Butte County Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

"51-3 Application of Chapter.

Application of this chapter shall be limited to:

(a) Applicable contracting and procurement transactions completed pursuant to this chapter
13
prior to August 31, 2016;
14
15 (b) Applicable transactions completed pursuant to the contracts/procurement sunset pilot
16 project by approved pilot project user departments identified in Article II Section 51-13;
17 (c) No other departments shall become pilot project user departments under the terms of this
18 chapter; and
19 (d) The provisions of this chapter shall not be operative until July 1, 2012."

Section 2. Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
21
days after the date of its passage. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and
22
directed to publish this Ordinance before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage. This
23
Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors
24
voting for and against it, in the Chico Enterprise Record, a newspaper of general circulation
25
-)6published in the County of Butte, State of California.
