2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE AMENDING SECTIONS 2-41
3 AND 2-43 OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE
4 ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION"
5 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte ordains as
6 follows :
7 Section 1 . Section 2-41 of the Butte County Code is hereby
8 amended to read as follows:
9 2-41 - Director of public works - Designated; to head
10 department .
11 The road commissioner shall be the director of public
12 works, and as such shall be the administrative head of the
13 department of public works .
14 Section 2 . Section 2-43 of the Butte County Code is hereby
15 amended to read as follows :
16 2-43 - Same - Duties .
17 The director of public works shall perform the duties of
18 the road commissioner as defined by law.
19 Section 3. Severability. If any provision of this Ordinance or
20 the application thereof to any person or circumstances is for
21 any reason held to be invalid by a court of competent
22 jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed severable, and the
23 invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining provisions or
24 other applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect
25 without the invalid provision or application thereof.

1 Section 4 . Effective Date and Publication. This Ordinance
2 shall take effect 30 days after the date of its passage . The
3 Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is authorizedand directed to
4 publish this ordinance before the expiration of 15 days after
5 its passage . This Ordinance shall be published once, with the
6 names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and
7 against it, in the Enterprise Record a newspaper of general
8 circulation published in the County of Butte, State of
9 California .
10 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the county of
11 Butte, State of California, on the 9th day of August, 2016, by
12 the. following vote:
13 AYES : Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert, Teeter and Chair Connelly
NOES : None
14 ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
