The salaries and number of positions of the officers and employees of the County of Butte are fixed and determined as hereinafter set forth, and this Ordinance shall be known as the "Salary Ordinance." Salary and wage policies shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Merit System Ordinance and Resolution. Payment of salaries shall be made on the Friday next succeeding the end of any pay period. If the salary payment date falls on a regularly scheduled County holiday, payment shall be made the preceding regularly scheduled work day. SECTION 31: REPEAL. Ordinance No. 4133, all amendments thereto, and any and all other ordinances which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Salary Ordinance, are hereby repealed as of the effective date hereof. SECTION 32: SEVERABILITY. If any part of this ordinance shall be held void by a court of competent jurisdiction, such part shall be deemed severable, and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining parts of this ordinance.
