Dear Supervisors of Butte County'
We appreciate all of your service in behalf of the citizens of Butte
County. We have lived in this area more than 30 years and love calling it
home. We are concerned about the Medical Marijuana Cultivation
Ordinance, currently being considered. We are respectfully asking that you
do not approve the ordinance as written. Our reasons are:
1) The proposed regulations seem to favor patients and do not protect the
rest.
2) The language seems to express marijuana production to become more
possible than ever. We feel that this area is already out of control,
that there are many who claim to be only growing for medicinal
purposes, when they actually use it much more widely than that.
We feel that it is already very difficult to enforce use of marijuana, and
we need a much better comprehensive ordinance that gives all citizens the
rights they deserve.
We sincerely hope that you will take more time to strengthen this
ordinance before it is adopted. Thank you for your consideration.
