AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN OPERATIVE DATE FOR BUTTE
COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 573 RELATING TO THE LICENSING OF
SOLICITORS.
WHEREAS Ordinance No, 573 of the County of Butte, relating to the
licensing of solicitors, was adopted and passed by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California, on the 4th day of March, 1957; and
WHEREAS requests have been made to said Soard that the operative
date of said Ordinance be extended; now, therefore,
The BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE,. State of
California, DO ORDAIN as follows:
1. That the following provision shall be added to Butte County
Ordinance No, 573, to wit:
"This Ordinance shall become operative on the
5th day of April, 1957,"
2. This Ordinance is for the immediate preservation of public
peace, health and safety, and shall take effect immediately. The facts consti-
tuting the necessity are that Ordinance No. 573 would become effective on the
5th day of March, 1957, and by so doing would cause undue hardship upon
solicitors now doing business in the County of Butte.
This Ordinance, before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage
shall be published with the names of the Supervisors voting for and against it
at least once in the Paradise Post , a newspaper published in the
County of Butte, State of California.
The foregoing Ordinance was duly adopted and passed by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, on the 4th day of
March, 1957, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Ale~:ander, TiuUgi_ns, iCepple, Squires and Chairman ?37.ack
NOES: None
ABSENT: Plone
