l~1HEREAS, the Public Works Department of the County of Butte, by
actual survey and count has determined that the highway hereinafter described
comes within the provisions of Section 511.3 (b) of the Vehicle Code of the
State of California,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, do ordain as follows:
1. That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per
hour is hereby established on Olive Highvray, a County road in the Oroville
area of the County of Butte, in accordance ~.rith Section 511.3 (b) of the
Vehicle Code of the State of California between a point 300 feet Easterly
from Foothill Boulevard and thence Llesterly to Oroville city limit.
2. That 35 MILES PER HOUR "speed limit signs be placed at the limits
of the zone as designated in paragraph 1 above.
3. This Ordinance shall be, and it is hereby declared to be, iri
full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date of its
passage, and before the oxniration of fifteen (15) days after its passage this
Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of the members of the Board
of Supervisors voting for and against it, it the OROVILLE MERCURY
a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California, ~
PASSED AA1D ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, this lst. day of Anril , 1957 by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Alexander, Huggins, Kepple, Squires and Chairman
