AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 546 OF THE GOUNTY OF BUTTE, KNOWN AS
"THE SALARY ORDINANCE" FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1956-1957
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALI--
FORMA, DO ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS:
la That the rate of compensation for Overtime as defined in
Section No. 5; 5~,ibsection (K) of Ordinance No. 515 of the 'County of Butte,
State of California, shall be amended to read as follows:
Paragraph 6, OPERATING ROOM, ON-CALL AND CALL-BACK COMPEN-
SATION; Call-back time for life-saving procedures in the operating rooms
or for procedures in the delivery room shall be compensated for at the
rate of one_half regular salary for nurses assigned to on-call duty, and
at the rate of one and one-half times the regular salary when said nurses
are called back,
2e This ordinance is .for the immediate preservation of the
public health and safety, and a declaration of the facts constituting the
necessity are as follows:
That stand-by expert help is required in the surgery of the
hospital to preserve human life,
3o This ordinance shall take effect as of the date of its
adoption, and before the expiration of 15 days after its passage shall be
published once with the names of the members voting for and against the
same i.n PARADTSE POST , a newspaper published in the County
of Butte.
ADOPTID and PASSED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the COUNTY OF
BUTTE, State of California, this 13th day of May, 1957 by the
following vote:
AYES; Supervisors Alexander, Huggins, Kepple, Squares and Chairman Black
