HomeMy WebLinkAbout588BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE N0.•,~ ~~ AN ORDINANCE REPEALING BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE NUMBER 569, KNOWN AS THE "BUILDING ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE". THE BOARD OF SU1?ERVISO:tS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, State of California, DO ORI?ATN as follows: 1. That Butte County Ordinance Number 56q, known as the "Building Ordinance of the County of Butte° and entitled: "AN ORDINANCE ~'OR THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE 1g55 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, THE 1q 5;5 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING-CODE, and THE 1953 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE TO REGULATE THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, CONVERSION, OCCUPANCY, HEIGHT, AREAS, PLUMBING, WIRING, AND MAINTENANCE OF BUILDINGS AIVD STRUCTURES IN THE UNIi~CORPORATED AREAS OF BUTTE COUNTY; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS .AND THE COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFOR; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", shall be, and the same is hereby repealed in its entirety; and that the same shall be of no further force or effect. 2. That, whereas the said Ordinance Number 56q provides that it shall become operative on the first day of July, 1857, a good and sufficient referendum petition was timely filed= in accordance with law, against the said Ordinance, and that accordingly the operation of said Ordinance was and remains suspended, including the provision therein for the operative date thereof. 3. This Ordinance, and the repeal thereby effected, shall take effect thirty days after the date of its adoption, and before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage shall be published once with the names of the members voting for and against the same in :the PARADISE POST , a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the County of Butte, as provided by law, PASSED AND ADOPTID by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, this 2 th..day of June, 1957, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Alexander, Huggins, Kepple, Squires and Chaixxnan Black NOES : None ABSENT : None _ _ _~~r L.
