AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No, 586 OIa' THE
LINTY OF BUTTER KNOWN AS THE "SALARY ORDIh
ANCE"
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS- of the COUNTY OF BUTTES State of
California, DO ORDAIN as follows:
That Ordinance No, 586 of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, normally known
as the "Salary Ordinance" is hereby amended as follows:
1. That there shall be added to Sub-section (B) of Section No.
Three of said Ordinance the following classification and salary rate which
shall appear under the heading of Title. and Rate of said Sub-section (B) of
Section No, Three as follows:
Title Rate
Extern $250 Mo,
This Ordinance is for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health and safety in that the employment of doctors as externs is an emergen~
measure for the protection of the health and safety of the patients of the
County Hospital by reason of the fact that County has been unable to employ
physicians on a permanent basis to staff said hospital.
That by reason of the foregoing emergency this Ordinance shall take
effect immediately and upon its adoption and after the date of its adoption
and before the expiration of fifteen (15j days after its adoption and passage
said ordinance shall be published once with the names of the members voting
for and against the same in the BIGGS NEWS a newspaper
published in said County of Butte.
The foregoing Ordinance was duly adopted and passed by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, on the 8th day of ,7uly,
1957, by the following vote:
