AN EMERGENCE ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No, 586 OF
THE COUNTY OF BiJTTE. KNOWN A S THE "SALARY ORDINANCE"
The BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, State of
alifornia, DO ORDAIN as followst
That Or dinance No. 586 of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, known as the
Salary O rdinance " i s hereby amended as fo11o ws
1. Tha t S ub-se cti on (B) of Secti on No , cg is hereby amended to
hange the salary rate of HOSPITAL PHYSICL9 N from $675.00 a m onth to
833, 0 0 a m onth and the words and figures per tai ning t o HOSPITAL PHYSIC N
rider title and rate of said Sub-section (B) o f S <action No. 3 shall be as fo 11o w

2. This Ordinance is for the immediate preservation of the pudic
peace, health and safety for the reason that County has been unable t o emp
Hospital Physicians at the County Hospital at the former salary rate and
that this Or dinance is an emergent y measure to enable Co unty t o employ
Hospital Physicians at the County Ho spital fo r t he protection of the health
and safety of the patients thereof.
3, Tha t b y reason of th e f orego ing emergency this Ordinance sha
take effect immediately and upon its adop tion and after the date of its adoptic
and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its adoption and passag e
said Ordinance shall be published once with the names of the Tpembers votin g
for and against the same in the OROVILLE PRESS a newspaper
published in the County of Butte .
The f orego ing Ordinance was duly adopted and passed by the Boar d of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, on the 15th day of
July, 1957, by the following vote:
