AN ORDIAFANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LINICT ON COUNTY WITHIN THE NIAGA7IA
A14EA, IN. THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CAI1F'ORNIA
(Vehicle Code. 511.3 b)
WHEftEA5, The Public Works Department of the County of Butte, upon
the basis of an engineering and traffic survey has determined that the highw
hereinafter described comes within the provisions of Section 5ll.3 (b) of the
Vehicle Code of the' State of 1•. California, that in that prima facie ~;m;t of
55 miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of the Ccunty of Butte,
State of California, do ordain as follows;
1. That a prima facie limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour
is hereby determined, declared and estab3ished on Skyway, a County road
in the Mavgali_a area of the County of Butte, in accordance with Section
511.•3 (b) of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, at a point on the
Skyway 200 feet Northerly of the intersection of Skyway and Oroville-Pentz--
ali.a Highway, thence Northerly to a point 1~00~ feet North of the Magalia
Post Office.
2. That 35 MILER PER HOUR speed limit signs be placed at the limits
of the zone as designated in Paragraph 1 above.
3. This Ordinance shall be, and is hereby declared to be, in fu11
force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date of its
passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage
this Ordinance shall be Fabl,:i.shed once, with the names of the Board of
Supervisors voting far and against it, in the Paradise Post
a
newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of Ca'Li.fornia, this 28th day of October , 1957, by the
