AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHL\G SPEED LIIIIT ON COUNTY ROAD ?~1'PHIN THE SOUTHERLY
OROViLLE AREA, IIV THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
(Vehicle Code 511.3 b)
Wf~REAS, the Public Works Department of the County of Butte, upon
the basis of an engineering and traffic survey has determined that the highway
hereinafter described comes within the provisions of Section 511.3 (b) of the
Vehicle Code of the State of California, that in that prima facie limit of
55 miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway.
Nffr7, THEREFORE, the Doard of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, do ordain as follows:
1. That a prima facie limit of thirty-five (35) m=1es per hour
is hereby determined, declared and established on Baggett-ITarys*rille, a
County road in the southerly Oroville area of the County o£ Butte, in
accordance kith Section 511.3 (b) of the Vehicle Code of the State of
California, from a point at the intersection of Baggett-P7arysville
orith Palermo Road, thence southwesterly to a point four-tenths (0.40)
miles southwesterly from center line of Tr?estern Pacif].c Railroad tracks.
2. That 35 MILES PER HOIIR speed limit signs be placed at the
limits of the zone as designated in Paragraph 1 above.
3. This Ordinance shall be, and is hereby declared to be, in full
force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date o£ its
passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage
this Ordinance shall be published once, orith the names of the 3oard of
Supervisors voting for and against it, in the Oroville Mercury , a
newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
