(~ /U NOTICE OF ELECTION; PROCLA MA TION A1~D ORDIlVANCE CALLIlVG AND GIVING NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION FOR DISINCORPORATION OF THERMALITO PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of Ca do ordain as follows: WHEREAS, a petition for the disincorporation of the Thermalito Public Utility District, situate in the County of Butte, State o£ California, was on the 3,rd day of February, 1958 presented to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte in accordance with. Article 1, Chapter 10, Division 7 of the Public Utilities Code of the State of California as amended; and WHEREAS, by reason thereof said Board of Supervisors shall call, and give notice of election to be held in the Thermalito Public Utility District for the purpose of determining whether or not the Thermalito Public Utility District shall be disincorporated and dissolved, all in accordance with Article 2, Chapter 10, Division 7 of the Public Utilities Code of the State of California; NOW, THEREFORE,, IT IS PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED AND IS HEREBY GIVEN AS FOLLOWS: 1, That a special election is hereby called to be held within the rmalito Public Utility District on Tuesday, the 25th. day of March, 1958, which election the question of disincorporation of the Thermalito Public pity District shall be submitted to the legal voters and electors of said strict. 2. That notice of said election is hereby given; and at said election electors of said District shall be invited to vote upon the proposition of the tion of the Thermalito Public Utility District by placing upon their hots the cross as provided by law after the words: For Disincorporation Against Disincorporation 3. There shall be one (1) election precinct established within said. -1- ~fJ l II 1 2 3 '4 ;5 6 ~7 8 9 10 11 T2 13 7:4 15 16 17 78 T9 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 '29 30 31 32 District for the conduct of said election which shall consist of a consolidation of all or such portion of Thermalito Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 as Iast established by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte for the conduct of general electi:~ns in said-County, which are within the boundaries of the Thermalito Public Utility District, which said boundaries are defined and described as set forth in Exhibit A hereto attached and by reference incor- porated herein„ The precinct, polling place and officers appointed to conduct said election therein are as follows: SPECIAL ELECTION PRECINCT Polling Place: Grange Hall, Fifth Street, between Grand Avenue and Plumas A venue, Thermalito, Butte County, California. Lnspector: Mattie B, Bullard, Dem, Judge: Thelma. A. Wixom, Rep. Clerk: Mildred M, Downer, Dem, Clerk:- Dorothy F, Hardy, 1?em, 4. The polls shall be kept open from 7:00 a,m. to 7:00 p, m. of say day when the polls shall be closed except as otherwise provided in Section 5734 of the Elections Code, 5, Said election shall be held and conducted in the same manner s the election on the organization of said District, as nearly as practicable in onformity with the general laws of the State of California, insofar as general aws are applicable and except as in Division 7 of the Public Utilities Code wise provided, 6. This Ordinance calling and noticing special election shall be published for ten (10) days prior to said election in accordance with Section 6062 of the Government Code of the State of California in the Oroville Merc egister, a daily newspaper of general circulation printed, published and cir~ ulated in said County and deemed most likely to gi~te notice to the electors of said District, there being no daily or weekly newspaper printed or published din said District. 8. A copy of this Ordinance calling and noticing special election shall be posted in at least two public places in the precinct in which the elec is held at least ten (10) days prior to the election, 9. A copy of this Ordinance calling and noticing special election shall be mailed by the Clerk of this Board to each of the directors of the Dis~ trict within five (5) days after the date of the first publication, 10. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately pursuant to S ~ 1651 of the Elections Code of the State of California. thence North to the Northwest corner of Block 120 of said Thermalito, said corner being at the Southwest corner of section 2, Township 19 North, Range 3 East, M.D.B. & M.; thence East along the South line of said Section 2 to the Southwest corner of the Southeast quarter of said Section 2; thence North along the West line of the said Southeast quarter of Section 2, to the Northwest corner thereof; thence East along the North line of said Southeast quarter of Section 2, to the Northeast corner thereof;
