4 NOTICE AND RESOLUTION Off` INTENTION TO ABANDON COUNTY
HIGHWAY AND NOTICE OF TIME AND P€:ACE OF HEARING
5 (Sections 954, 955 and 956, Streets and Highways Code)
6 BE IT RESOLVED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the COUN3'Y
7 OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows:
8 1. That it is the intention of said Board of Supervisors
9 to abandon the county highway hereinafter described, if it is
10 determined at the hearing as hereinafter set, that said county
11 highway, for a period of five (5) successive years was impassible
12 for vehicular traffic, and during such period of time no public
13 monies were expended for maintenance, and that said county
14 highway is an unnecessary highway subject to abandonment
15 pursuant to Sections 954, 955 and 956 of the Streets and Highways
16 Code of the State of California.
17 2. That the hearing on this resolution to abandon county
18 highway shall be held on Monday, the 22d day of May, 1961, at
19 11:30 a:. m. of said day, or as soon thereafter as the business of
20 the Board will permit, in the Supervisors' Room in the Butte
21 County Court House, fronting on Huntoon Street, in Oroville,
22 California, at which time said Board will hear evidence of any
23 party interested.
24 3. That this resolution and notice is adopted pursuant
25 to a petition filed for the abandonment of said county highway.
26 4. That a copy of this resolution and notice shall be
27 posted conspicuously along the line of said county highway
28 proposed to be abandoned and shall be posted not less than
29 five hundred (500J feet apart, but at least three (3) shall be
30 posted.
3l 5. That the county highway the subject of this resolution
32 and notice is situate in the County of Butte, State of California,
and described'; as follows:

Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of Lot 1,
in Block 5, as shown on that certain map.
entitled, "MAP OF STIRLING CITY'", which map
was filed in the office of the Recorder of the
County of Butte, State of California, August 3,
1903 in Map Book 4 at page 33; thence Easterly
along the Southerly line of said Lot 1, 140 feet
to the Southeasterly corner of said Lot; thence
at a right angle Southerly 25 feet; thence
GVesterly parallel to the Southerly line of said
Lot 1, 140 feet and thence at a right angle
Northerly 25 feet to point of beginning.
The foregoing resolution was adopted and passed on the
8th day of May, 1961, by the following vote:
