BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
RESOLUTION CALLING FOR QUALIFYING EXANQNATIONS FOR
JUDGE OF JUSTICE COURT OF DURHAM JUDICIAL DISTRICT
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

WIiEREAS, the office of Judge of the Justice Court of the Durham
.Judicial District of the County of Butte is vacant; and
Wf~REAS, it is the desire of the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte to appoint a fudge of said Court to hold office for the remainder of
the unexpired term of his.. predecessor and until a successor is elected and
qualified, all i.n accordance with Section 71180 of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, such appointment may not be made unless such person has
been admitted to practice. by the Supreme Court of the State of California or
has passed a qualifying examination under regulations prescribed by the
Judicial Council;
NOW, THEREFORE,.. BE IT RE50LVED by the Board of Supervisors, County
of Butte, State of California, as follows, to-wit:
1. That said Board hereby calls for a qualifying exam_;nRtion for
the filling of the vacancy of the Judgeship of the Justice Court of the Durham
Judicial District in the County of Butte, State of California.
2. That said Board hereby requests the Judicial Council of the
State of California to give such qualifying examination and in due course
advise this Board of all persons who are qualified to fill the position of
Judge of the Durham Judicial=~IIistrict. .-_ - - ~
The foregoing Resolution was introduced by Supervisor ._,,
