BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE. STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AUTAIORIZING ACTING WELFARE DIRECTOR
~ ACT AS AGENT FOR THE BOARD OF SUPERVLSORS
WT~R.E PER.MCSSIBLE
WHEREAS an accordance with Section 701 of the California Welfare and
Institutions Codes it is possible for the Board of Supervisors of a county
to delegate their authority in matters pertaining to the administration of
Aid to Needy Children Old Age Security Aid to the Needy Blinds Aid to
the Totally Disabled and County Aid to Indigents; and
ti~ZEAS it is the desire of the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte to delegate such authority to the Acting Welfare Director of the
County of Butte;
NOWT TI•IEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Buttes State of Californian that ERNEST LOPEZ~ the Acting Welfare Director
of the bounty of Buttes bey and ha is hereby authorized on and after the
18th day of Septembers 1961 too
1. Grants restore, increases deerease~ suspends discontinues and deny
aid or authorize return of erroneous payments;
2. Under circumstances permitting, to determine the liability of
responsible relatives of applicants for or recipients of Old Age Security
Aid to ATeedy B7.ind~ Aid to Partia]~y Self-supporting Blind and Aid to the
Totally Disabled; and
3. The Acting Welfare Director sha11 certify to the actions so authoriz~
ed herein in the same manner as provided for the Board of 5uperviso rs.
This Resolution supersedes and revokes that certain Resolution adapted
and passed on the 2gth day of December, 1958 pertaining to the delegation
of authority in this Resolution granted.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced by Supervisor Pittman
who moved its adoptions seconded by Supervisor _Pryde ,and said
Resolution was passed this 18th day of Septembers 1961x, on roll ca11
