~8~~ COUNTY OF BUTTE / c- ~'~ RESOLUTION N0. 4%'f ~~/'~ A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR BYRNE ACT FUNDS ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE. (Sections 65000- 65011 of Water Code) WHEREAS, the Byrne Act, Sections 65000, et seq., of the Water Code, authorizes the State to assist local governments in providing essential services and facilities where water resource construction projects financed in whole or in part by the State or by the State jointly with the Federal Govern- ment create an undue burden on the local area's ability to provide these services and facilities; and 4IHEREAS, the Governor on July 1, 1961 designated the area within the 20-mile airline radius of the Oroville Dam as an impact area; and WHEREAS, applicant agency is providing essential services and facilities within said impact area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that application is hereby made to the State of California for state assistance undex said law. BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT George W. Gaekle, County Administrative Officer, is designated as the applicant's duly authorized representative in ail matters arising under this application.
