RESOLUTION FILLING OFk'TCE OF PUBLIC GUARDIAN,
FIXING AMOUNT Off' BOND THEREFOR AND DESIGNATING
COUNTY COUNSEL TO ACT A3 ATTORNE'Y'
WHEREAS, the Baard of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, heretofore, on the 16th day of
October, 1961, by amendment to Ordinance No. 710 of the County
of Butte, being the Salary Ordinance, created the office of
Public Guardian, together with the necessary personnel for the
operation of said office; and
WHEREAS, said amendment to said Salary Ordinance will
become effective the 17th day of November, 1961;
NOWT Tfi~:REFOREQ BE IT RESOLVED by the BOARD OF
SUPERVIE~iORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CA?,IFORNIAt_ as
follows:
1. That GEORGE ORBERG is hereby appointed as the
Public Guardian of the County of Butte.
2. That said Public Guardian shall file an official
bond in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), which said
bond sha11 inure to the joint benefit of the several guardian-
ship estates and the County of Butte, and such Public Guardian
sha11 not be required to file bonds in individual guardianship
estates.
3. The County Counsel of the County of Butte shall
act as attorney for the Public Guardian, provided, however, that
should the County become involved in litigation with a ward of
the Public Guardian, the County Counsel sha11 refrain from
representing the public Guardian in such instance.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced by Supervisor
Pryde , who moved its adoption, seconded by Supervisor
Alldredge and said Resolution was passed this 23rd day
