2 BOARD:OF SUPERVISORS
3 COUNTY OF BUTTE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
4 RESOLUTION IN RE APPRECIATION OF
PUBLIC SERVICES RENDERED TO THE
5 COUNTY OF BUTTE BY I-~ARRIETT JAMES
6 Wl~REAS, HARRIETT JAMES has tendered her resignation
7 as County Clerk of the County of Butte, effective December 31,
8 1961; and
9 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
10 Butte has accepted with regret said resignation and ordered this
11 Resolution, in appreciation of public services rendered by
12 HARRIETT JAMES, to be prepared and submitted;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the BOARD
14 OF SUPERVISORS of the COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
15 as follows, to wit:
16 1, That FIARi2IETT JAMES has rendered valuable and
17 faithful service to the County of Butte, and has, since the
18 5th day of April, 1.954, served as the County Clerk of said
19 County.
20 2. That HARRIETT JAMES has served as president-for
'21 five years of the Nine Northern Counties Clerks Association and
28 received the endorsement of the Butte County Bar Association as
23 County Clerk.
24 3. That the services aforementioned, rendered by
25 HARRIETT JAMES to the County of Butte, have brought credit and
2g recognition to both HARRIETT JAMES and to the County of Butte,
27 and that this Board of Supervisors hereby expresses its
28 appreciation for such services so ably rendered to the County
29 of Butte and unto the citizens thereof.
30 ~.. That the Clerk of this Board is authorized to
31 certify and deliver to HARRIETT JAMES a copy of this Resolution

3 Steineeeer who moved its adoption, seconded by Supervisor
4 Prvde and said Resolution was passed this 27th-day of
5 November, 1961, on roll call by the following vote:

Chairman Giles
