BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF BUTTE STATE OE CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION DECT.ARING H[JMBOT,DT AVENUE NOT A COUNTX HIGHWAY
WHEREAS., Section 1704 of the California Streets and
Highway Code provides that a County Board of Supervisors may
at any time after all or a portion of a city street becomes a
County Highway, as provided in this article, and all improvemen•
commenced by the County, or its agents thereon, have been fully
completed, the Board of Supervisors of such County may adopt a
resolution declaring that all or any portion of such street is
no longer a County Highwayq Teh days after the filing of such
xeolution with the clerk of the city within which the street
liesP such street. or the portion thereof described in the
resolution, sha11 cease to be a County Highway; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte did on the 7th day of March,
1960 declare a portion of Humboldt Avenue from a point
approximately 200 feet Northerly o~ the Northern line of
Sycamore Street to the Southerly line of Willows Street within
the incorporated area of the City of Chico to be a County
Highways and
WHEREASr certain highway work has been completed on said
County Highway, in accordance with Provisions 1702 of the
California Streets and Highway Code, namely, the removal of a
bridge and the repaving of said County Highway, at the
location of said bridge.
NOW r. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows:
1o T~,at the portion of H~unboldt Avenue lying between a
point approximately 200 feet Northerly of the Northerly line of
Sycamore Street and the Southerly line of Willows Street, in the

City of Chico, County of Butte, is hereby declared to no
longer be a County Highwayo
2q The Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of
this Resolution to the City Council of the City of Chico, in
accordance with Section 1704 of the California Streets and F3
Code.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced by Supervisor
Alldred e , who moved its adoption, seconded by
Supervisor Prvde , and said Resolution was passed
this 11th day of Decembers 1961, on roll call by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Alldredge, Pittman, Pryde, Steinegger and
Chairman Giles
NOES: None
ABSENT z None
