RESODUTION NO. 61- 102
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A BUII.D7.~TG DEPARTMENT
FOR THE COUNTY OF BUTTE TO MAKE SUCH INSPECTIONS
AS SHAT T• HEREAFTER BE ORDERED BX THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS.
WHEREAS, the Division of Housing of the State of Californiz
pursuant to state statutes, has estab]35hed rules, regulations and
fee schedules pertaining to the erection of structures, which
may be enforced by local agencies, and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of this Board of Supervisors, the
cpnvenience of the people of Butte County will be best served by
local enforcement.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESODVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows.
1, That the General Engineering ?3ivision of the
Department of Public Works of the County of Butte, here~.n after
referred to as Building Department, is hereby determined to be .
the agency that sha~,l enforce all statutes, ordinances, regula-
tions and other rules pertaining to the erection of structures
in said County.
20 That said enforcing agency shall commence and begin
the duta:es herein imposed upon it on the lst day of February,
19620
3. Z'h•at the name of the present chief of said General
Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works, the
ennforcement agency, is James Glander.
A•. Until further order of the Board by ordinance,. reso-
lution,, or otherwise, said Building Department shall as of the
lst day of February, 1962, assume the enforcement of all statutes
rules and regulations hereto and hereafter enacted or pro~ul-
gated by the Legislature of the State of California or the
Division of Housing of the State of California, pertaining to
Apartment Housesa Hotels and Dwellings as presently set forth in

Division 13, Part 1.5 of the Bealth and Safety Code of the State of California
and Title S, Chapter 9, Article 7, of the California Administrative Code; and
that the fee schedule set forth in said title, chapter and article of said
California Administrative Code,- and any amendments thereto are hereby adopted
as the fees to be charged in the County of Butte, provided, however, that
fees, in effect, for .plan inspection, shall apply only to Apartment Houses
and Hotels; but shall not apply to dwellings.
The foregoing resolution was adopted and passed this 11th day of
December, 1961, on roll call by the following vote:

Chairman Giles
