I do "hold a Real Property Appraiser License of level AL, AR or AG..." ;per minimum requirements advertised. My license is inactive {currently}, yet I do still "possess &/or hold" it (as I have for 20+years). The out-of pocket costs to me of renewal 56-hrs CE is x$2500, plus relo casts to CA would add another $2500 (minimum) = $5,000. If Butte County wants the best, then they need to not split-hairs on the active status of my licensure: especially knowing I am willing to incur these costs once offered the position in writing (which is what is communicated by your response in that "then it would work"). This is a great deal of sincerity & commitment by me. So, I'm not sure haw to interpret this position taken by your supervisor: I ask to speak to Butte County's Supervisors &lor Director Cathi Grams (conference call, if possible} since the advertisement for this position is quite clear that I would need to hold/possess a license ... and it does not specify it must be active prior to hiring. I have NO disparities against my licensure in 2+decades; yet our small local economy is weak and centered around paper mills/cranberry-corn-potato crops, thus my interest and willingness to relocate and work for less than my historical earnings & qualifications experience is commendable. As today is the cut-off date for application, I ask that this issue be pended such that I can relocate and then obtain licensure renewal & CA reciprocity within the first 60-90 days of employment. Again; this is not request for any waiver of requirement, but rather a review of the exact facts of the advertisement for conditions of hire and Butte County's precedent conditions .. which I do in fact meet. I have very relevant SBCIPacBell real estate &rights-of--way experience in CA, having managed 4-counties public works and DSLltelco buildouts working directly with CalWater, CalTrans, PG&E, Cities of Stockton, Lodi, Placerville etc: I think Butte County wants expertise, not just athis-minute-active-license, when I evidence mastery & with my vast depth and breath of experience in FedlStatellocal law codes implementation with engineers across the entire industry's scope from roadway to telco, wireless/cable, utility, gas pipeline of over 30-years. I read the application to mean "California's" Board of Licensure. Google "Wisconsin DRL -Credential Lookup". On the dropdown menu option: Appraiser -Certified Residential, then enter 578-9 (or use Todd Schmidt} and it shows mine: exp 12-14-09, reewable. I'm remote on my laptop with poor conxzection, but after I get home I can scan my certification license to send you. I would be honored to come out and assume this role; with chance for longer term. Yes; I'd attached my original/initial (1992-Lic #247) 1993 WI Appraiser Certificate #578-9 ... but I can renew it anytime now. My license is renewable through 12-14-15, w/56-hrs continuing education + fee. Find @ (online.clrl.wi.~ov/9icenselooku~), or I can scan and send it as attachment. I've never had any sanctions against my licensure, yet didn't need it in recent years for R/W work so I let it lapse 12-14-09. It is indeed still valid! The mortgage lending meltdown ended our real estate open-market here where I live; thus I have been mainly doing RlW acquisition, property management, roadway, gas pipeline and buried cableltelco, etc as the majority of my recent 1 S+years workload. My expertise as appraisal + condemnation witness in court, due diligence in courthouse title and Govt-liaison seems ideally suited to your needs for this position; yet I can also do future reciprocity in CA, if you've also sufficient need for work in that real estate domain too.
