3 COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
¢ RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING REVOLVING FUND
FOR USE BY THE MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF THE
5 BUTTE COUNTY HOSPITAL FOR MEDICAL AID
TO THE AGED.

WHEREAS, Section 4734 of the Welfare and Institutions

Code reads as follows:

"4734. Drawing account for personal and incidental
g needs. Any aged person who does not have sufficient
income to pay for his personal and incidental expenses
10 while receiving hospital or nursing home care under
this chapter shall be provided, at county expense,
11 with a cash drawing account from which such aged person
can make withdrawals up to fifteen dollars ($15) in
],2 any month to meet his personal and incidental needs.
~3 The cost of providing such withdrawal account
pursuant to this section shall not be considered as
14 an expenditure subject to state and federal
reimbursement under this chapter. No claim may be
15 made for repayment against the aged person or any of
his relatives and no action shall be undertaken to
16 collect by levying a lien or other attachment against
the property of such aged person or his kindred;" and
17
WHEREAS, a revolving fund, established in accordance
18
with Section 29230, et seq., of the Government Code, to be
19
administered by the Medical Director of the Butte .County Hospital,
20
is deemed to be the best method of complying with said section
21
of the Welfare and Institutions Code.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
23
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, as
24
follows:

1. That there is hereby established for the use
26
of the Medical Director of the Butte County Hospital a revolving
27
fund in the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) to be used

in accordance with Section 4734 of the Welfare and Institutions
29
Code of the State of California.

2. That a certified copy of this Resolution shall
31
be transmitted to the Auditor and to the Treasurer of the
32
County of Butte.

3. Before any money is withdrawn from the County Treasury to be
placed in the revolving fund herein established.,. the Medical Director sha11
file with the Clerk o~ the County of Batts a bond,., executed by him as principal
and by a permittad surety as insurex is the sum of Three Hundred. Dollars
(300,00) or otherwise comply with Section ,29323,_ of the.,Goyernmsnt Codeo
