WHEREAS evidence and proof has been presented before the State Legislature, Che Congress.of the
United States and the several Courts of our state and.Naiicn that there exists a world
wide Communist Movement which in its origin and its present practice is attempting the
establishment of a.totalatariandic~atorshYp:in our Nathan; and
WHEREAS this dictatorship; where established in other nations of the world, has always resulted
in the subordination of the rights of individuals to the State, and the denial of the.
fundamental rights and'liberiies such.as are guaranteed to~us.by our National State
Constitutions; and
WHEREAS it is the duly of each and every citizen of our County io protect Their rights and privi-
leges by informing Themselves as to this menace; THEREFORE

That the-Board of Supervisors of Butte County. California, herewith declare that the
Month of April 1962; shall be known as ANTI-COMMUNISM MONTH in Butte County;
and each citizen of said County-is hereby requested io inform himself on the-dangers.
of said conspiracy; and to take all possible .lawful action to prevent said.Communist.
