RESOLUTION N0. b2-35 A'
RESOLUTION CONSII+ITING TO CONSOLIDATION
OF SPECIAL ELECTION WITH PRIMARY ELECTION
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has received a
request, embodied in a Resolution, from the City Cauncil of
the City of Gridley for an order to consolidate s Special
Municipal Election for a low-rent housing measure with the
Direct Primary Election to be held Juns ~, 192; and
WHEREAS, there is no objection to such consolida-
tion as contemplated and provided in Sections 23301 and 23302
of the Elections Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERYlSORS OF BUTTE COUNTY AS FOLLOWS:
1. The special low-rent houaing election required
under Artie le XXXIV of the Constitution, and to be held in the
City of Gridley on June 5, 1962, is hereby consolidated with
the Direct Primary Election to be held throughout the State,
including Butte County, on June s, 1962.
2. That said City- of Gridley low-rent housing
measure shall be set forth in each form of ballot to be ased
at said election in so far as the same is held within the City
of Gridley, and such measure shall read as follows:
"Shall the housing Authority of the County of
Butte develop, construct and acquire in the
City of Gridley, with Federal financial
assistance, a low-rent housing project or
projects of not to exceed in the aggregate
20 dwelling units for living accommodations
Por persons of low income, including eligible
elderly persons of low income?"
3. The County Clerk of Butte County is hereby
ordered and directed to provide within the City of Gridley the
election precincts, polling places and voting booths for said
elections hereby cansolidated,which in each case, shall be the
same, and there shall be only one set of election officers in

each suoh precinct. The County Clerk is further ordered and
directed to print upon each of the ballots to be used at such
State Direct Primary Election within the City of Gridley the
mentioned housing measure above set forth. The County Clerk
is further ordered and directed (i) to set forth on all sample
ballots relating to such Primary Election and to be mailed to
all qualified electors of such City the mentioned measure, (ii)
to include on each polling place card relating to such Primary
Election and to be mailed to each of the City's qualified
electors a reference to such special election hereby consoli-
dated with such Primary Election, and (iii) to provide absent
voter ballots to qualified absentee voters of the City.
!}. The returns of said special municipal housing
election shall be canvassed by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors in accordance with the request of the City Council
of the City of Gridley to the end that the consolidated elections
shall be held within the City of Gridley in all respects as
though there ware only one election; the returns of said special
housing election when canvassed shall be reported by the Board
of Supervisors to the City Gouneil oP the City of Gridley.
PASSED AMID ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors at a REGUZAP~ meeting held in its chambers
on. the Stn day of Aaril , 1962, by the following vote:
