IN BUTTE COUNTY 4 5 WHEREAS, it has been resolved by the Senate and the House of 6 Representatives of the United States of America that .the first day 7 of May is designated as Law Day U.S.A. S WHEREAS, the Board feels that without laws predicated upon 9 equal justice, and independent courts to administer them, the 10 liberties we take for granted would be meaningless; and 11 WHEREAS, the Board believes that it is necessary that a speci 12 day of celebration by the people of Butte County in appreciation 13 of their liberties and the reaffirmation of their loyalty to the 14 nited States of America and to the community in which they live; 15 f their rededicate on to the ideals of equality and justice under 16 aw in their relation with each other and for the cultivation of 1'7 hat respect for law that is so vital for the democratic way of 18 ife; 19 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of 20 he County of Butte, State of California, as follows: 21 1. The Board of Supervisors of Butte County herewith declare 22 hat the first day of May, 1962, shall. be known as i,aw Day UoS.A. 2S 'n Butte County. 24 2. It is hereby requested that all citizens, organizations, 25 ourts, and schools give appropriate recognition to this special 26 ay, 27 3.
