A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE APPLICATION AND Cr,AIMING FOR BYRNE ACT
3 BY THE COUNTY OF BUTTE AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 61-87
5 Wf3EREA5, the Byrne Act, Sections 65000 et seq. of the water
6 I Code, authorizes the State to assist local governments in
7 providing essential services and facilities where water resource
8 construction projects financed in whole or in part by the State or
9 by the State jointly with the Federal Government create an undue
10 burden on the local area's ability to provide these services and
11 facilities; and
12 WHEREAS, the Governor on July 1, 1961, designated the axea
13 within the 20 mile airline radius of the Oroville Dam as an impact
14 area; and
i5 WHEREAS, applicant agency is providing essential services
16 and facilities within said impact axea; and
I7 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte
18 adapted Resolution No. 61-87, October 16, 1961, designating the
19 County Administrative Officer as the applicant's duly authorized
20 representative in ail matters arising under this application.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
22 1. That Resolution No. 61-87 is hereby repealed;
2S 2. That the Auditor--Controller is hereby designated as the
2~ officer to prepare and audit the "Application" and "Claim" of the
25 County of Butte for Byrne Act Funds, which said "Application" and
26 "Claim" shall be approved by the Board of Supervisors before
27 submission to the Department of Water Resources.
28 3. That the Auditor-Controller is hereby directed to
29 cooperate with all affected departments of the County of Butte
30 and that they, in turn,are directed to oooperate with him to the
31 end that the purposes of the Byrne Act, and this resolution shall ',
32 be successfully accomplished.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte at a meeting held on the 30th day of July, 1962, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Giles, Pittman, Pryde, Steinegger and
Chairman Alldredge
NOES: None
' ABSENT: None
