NOTICE AND RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABARTDON COUNTY
.HIGHWAY AATD NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
1 (Sections 956.$ et seq. of .the Streets and Highways Code,
State of California)

3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BCARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE,
4 STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows:
6 1. That it is the intention of said Board of Supervisors to abandon
-8: the County highway hereinafter described, if it is determined at the hearing
7 as hereinafter set, that said county highway has been superseded by relocation
8 of said highway and that abandonment thereof does not cut off all access to the

9: property of any person which prior to such relocation adjoined the highway;
10 that said county highway is an unnecessary highway subject to abandonment
11 pursuant to Sections 956.8 through 960.5 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
12~ State of California.
~3 2. That the hearing on this resolution to abandon county highway
ltd shall be held on Tuesday, the lath day of September, 1962, at 11:00 a.m. of said
15 day, or as soon thereafter as ;the business of the Board will permit, in the
16 Supervisors' Room in the Butte County Courthouse, fronting on Huntoon Street,
17 in Oroville, California, at which time said Board will hear evidence of any
1;g'.party interested.
19 3. That this notice and resolution is adopted due to the relocation
20 of the hereinafter described portion of the Feather River Highway, in conjunc--
21 tion-with the proposed construction of the Oroville Dam, at the request of the
22.: Department of Water Resources, State of California.
23 1~. That this notice and resolution shall be published in the
~' Orovilie Me raury , a newspaper of general circulation
2g within the county of Butte, for two successive weeks prior to the day fixed for
26 hearing.
27 5. That a copy of this notice and resolution shall be posted at
2g least two weeks prior to the day fixed for hearing conspicupusly along the
2'g line of said county highway proposed to be abandoned.
30 6. That the county highway the subject of this resolution and
31 notice is situated in the county of Butte, State of California, and described
32 as follows:

A11 that portion of the former State Highway 40A as shown on
maps filed for record on September 10, 1954, in State Highway
Map Book No. 2, in the County of Butte, State of California,
at pages 158 through 164, described as:
Beginning at a point from which the south quarter corner of
Section Two (2) Township Nineteen (19) North, Range Four (4)
East M.D.M., bears South .63°16'28" East 1,804,82 feet, said
point being state highway engineers' centerline station 183-1-00
of the Department of Public Works' 1929 survey from Oroville
to Jarbo Pass, District III--BUT--21-B; thence along the center-
line of said state highway to a point on the north line of
Section Thirty-six (36), Township Twenty (20) North, Range
Four (4).East, M.D.B.&M.,.from which the northwest corner of
said Section 36 bears South 89°11'30" West 3,364.81 feet, said
point being State Highway Engineers'.Centerline Station 329+63,50 of
the Department of Public Works' 1929 survey from Orovi7le to Jarbo
Pass, District III-BUT-21-B.
The foregoing resolution was introduced by Supervisor
who moved its adoption, seconded by Supervisor Pryde ~
'and adopted on roll ca11 by the following vote:
