NOTICE AND RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON COUNTY HIGHUrAY AND
4 NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING (Sections 954 et seq, of the
Streets and Hi hwa s Code

6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE-COUNTY OF
7 BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, as follows:
'g 1. That it is the intention of said Board of Supervisors to
g abandon the County highway hereinafter described, if it is
~O determined at the hearing as hereinafter set, that said County
11 highway, for a period of five (5) successive years was impassable
12 for vehicular traffic, and during such period of time no public
13 monies were expended for maintenance, and that said County highway
14 is an unnecessary highway subject to abandonment pursuant to
15 Sections 954 thru 958 of the Streets and Highways Code of the Stat
16 of California.
17 2. That the hearing on this resolution to abandon county
lg highway shall be held on Tuesday, the~~Q:th day of November, 1962,
19 at 11.00 A.M. of said day, or as soon thereafter as the business
20 of the Board will permit, in the Supervisors' Room in the Butte
21 County Court House, fronting on Huntoon Street, in Oroville,
22 California, at which time said Board will hear evidence of any
23 party interested.
24 3. That this notice and resolution is adopted pursuant to
25 a petition filed for the abandonment of said County highway.
26 4. That a copy of this notice and resolution shall be posted
2~7 at least two weeks prior to the date fixed for the hearing
28 conspicuously along the line of said County highway proposed to
29 be abandoned and shall be posted not less than 500 feet apart, but
30 at least three (3) shall be posted.
31 5. That a copy of this notice and resolution shall be
32 published in a newspaper of general circulation, published in
the COUnty Of Butte in the Chico Enterprise

newspaper for at least two successive weeks prior to the date
fixed for the hearing thereof.
b. That the County highway the subject of this resolution
and notice is situate in the County of Butte, State of California,
and described as follows:
All of those certain 20 foot a1.l.eys through Blocks D, ~, F, G, H,
and Z in the Town of Nord, as said alleys and blocks are shown on that
certain map entitled,."Town of Nord", filed in the office of the County
Recorder of Butte County, State of California, in Nfap Book 1, at Page $.
The foregoing resolution was adopted and passed on the 23rd
day of October, 1962, by the following vote:
At1ES: Supervisors Giles, Pittman, Pryde, Steinegger and Chairman Alldredge
