A1~EA, IN THE COUNTY OF BUPTE, STATL OF CALIFORNIA _
(Vehicle Code, Section 511.3 (b}
WHEREAS, The Public Works Department of the County of Butte, upon
the basis of an engineering and traffic survey, has determined that the highways
hereinafter described come within the provisions of Section 511.3 (b) of the
Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that the prima facie limit of 55
miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways.
NOfnT, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, do ordain as follows:
1. That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles per
hour is hereby established upon Durham Street, Campbell Street, Faber Street,
Brown Street, Florida Lane, Serviss Street, Franklin Avenue and Durham Nelson
Road, county roads in the Durham area of the County of Butte in accordance
with Section 511.3 (b) of the Vehicle Code of the State of California.
2. That SPEID LIMIT 25 Af1L~S signs be placed at the following
locations:
(a} Durham Nelson Road at Durham Dayton Highway and
at a point l~.00~ south. of Serviss Street.
(b) Franklin Avenue at Durham Dayton Highway and at
a point l~00~ south of Serviss Street,
(c) Durham Street, Campbell Street, Faber Street and
Brown Street at Midway.
3. This Ordinance sha11 be, and it is hereby declared to be, in
full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date of its
passage, and before the expiration of fifteen {15) days after its passage this
Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of the members of the Board
of Supervisors voting for and against it, in the Chico Enterprise Record
a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California,

Butte, State of California, this 6th day of October , 195 by the
following vote:
