BONELLI KENNETH HAHN ERNEST E. OEBS BVRTON W. CHACE At its meeting on January 22, 1863, on motion of Supervisor Frank G. Bonelli, the Board of Supervisors went on record in vigorous opposition to proposed State Legislation making. City and County elective offices partisan and urging that this stand be supported by City Councils and Boards of Super- visors. Supervisor Bonelli pointed out that the non-partisan provision now applicable to City-and County elections has proved to be compatible and in the best interests of the people, and there is neither need nor justification for any change, and further, any change from non-partisan to partisan designation can be easily accomplished under present election laws.
