Resolution Adopting Route for the
1 ' Relocation of the Oroville-Quz.ncy Highway

Resources, has commenced construction of the Orovi]1 e Dam;. and

WIC, by construction of the Oroville Dam, portions of the Butte

County highway known as Orovil.le-Quincy Highway will be inundated by waters

impounded by said dam; and

order to provide a facility for ingress and egress to large agricultural,

residential, recreational and forest products areas; and

WFDrRF.ElS, the Board of Supervisors through the. Butte County Department
11 of Public Works has conducted studies to determine the most suitable route

that ,well best serve the interests of the communities and public involved;

and
14 ', X45, the Board of Supervisors on February 26, 1963, held a

public hearing to hear the views of individuals and groups of individuals

concerna.ng the relocation of said highway; and
17 SAS, the Board of Supervisors has beard, read, viewed, studied,
~8, and is familiar with all the evidence submitted;
19 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
20 of Bute that: - _ - -

22 1. The following described route for the relocation of the Oroville
23 Quincy I-Lighway is hereby adopted:
2~ Beginning at a point on existing County Road No. 27501
(Federal Aid Secondary route 759), known. generally as
25 the Forbestown Road, at a point in Section 18, T19N,
RSE,_in the near vicinity of Minerrs Ranch reservoir,
26 shall proceed thence northerly through Sections 18, 7,
$, 4 and 5 of said Township and Range and through
27 Section 32, T20N, R$E, to a point on the southerly
shore of the.NLiddle Fork of the Feather River one-half
28 mile westerly of the .confluence of the Middle;and South
Forks of the Feather River, sha11 cross the said Middle
29: Fork by a bridge, hereinafter ca]1ed the P2iddle Fork
Bridge, sha11 proceed thence Northerly through Sections
30 32, 29, 20 and 17 of T20N, RSE, along the easterly shore
Line of Canyon Creek to a point in said Section 17,
37. T20N, R5E, in the near icinity of the confluence of

1 Canyon Creek and its fast Fork, shall cross Canyon
Creek by bridge and shall proceed tkzence in a north--
2 westerly direction alor-g the southwesterly shore of
Canyon Creek to a terminal point on e~sting County
3 Road No. 27562 (the Orovi.lle-Qua.ncy Road) approximately
two miles southerly of Harts Mill Fire Station.

~ 2, That copies of this resolution shall be transmitted to the
g appropriate State and Federal Agencies involved.
