DRAINAGE SYSTEMS AND STREET LIGHTS.
~1HEREAS there are certain areas in the County of Butte in
which septic tanks will not function properly, and
~RFAS prospective subdividers have requested from the
County of Butte the establishment of a policy in regards to
the formation of districts to maintain sewage disposal plants,
storm drainage systems and street lights,
Nth THEREFQiRE BE IT RESC~VED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows;
1. That the County service area type of distryct is
hereby approved as the most desirable type of district to
maintain and operate sewage disposal plants, storm drainage
systems and street lights.
2, That before any of the aforementioned service
installations may be transferred to the County, a service
area district to maintain and operate such installations sha11
be formed, prior to a request for the acceptance of a final
map of the subdivision in which such services are to be
provided. That all expenses of the formation of such service
area districts, including publications of notices, legal fees
and all other charges, shall be paid by the person requesting
acceptance of said final map.

or a mutual water district.
4. That it is required that a policy of insurance,
insuring the County of Butte against liability by reason of
damage to persons or property, including any damage resulting
to County by reason of a judgment in inverse condemnation,
shall be obtained and the initial ane year premium thereof shall
be paid prior to the acceptance of said final map, and
subsequent premiums on such policy of insurance shall be
included as a maintenance expense of the county service area
district,
