HomeMy WebLinkAbout63-03232 RESQLUTIC1iV' N®. 63- ~2 BARD @EF SUPERVISORS CQXTNT~ Q,~' BUTTE, STATE [~F CALIFF~RNIA RESEIT,UTIf~N APPREAVING REPEAL ~F CHAPTER 1.5 ECE' DIVISIf~N 14 Q;F THE EDUCATIQe~T CffBDE AS AN URGENCY MEASURE WHEREAS, the County of Alameda of the State of California, has caused to be prepared a Bi11 to introduce in the present session of the State Legislature, that wi11 have the effect of repealing Chapter l.5 of Division 14 of the Education Code as an urgency measure, and ~iEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, have heretofore, and do now, oppose the tax levy required by said Chapter 1.5 of Division 14 of the Education Code, NfA~ THEREFQRE BE IT RES©LVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, as follows; 1. That said Board hereby approves of the action of Alameda County in presenting to the present session of the State Legislature a Bill that will have the effect of repealing Chapter 1.5 of Division 14 of the Education Code as an urgency measure, 2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Senator Stanley Pittman; Assemblyman Harold E. Booth; to the Chairman of the Senate and Assembly Committee that will' consider said legislation; and to any and all other persons designated by the Chairman of this Board.
